Vinifest, the Lebanese wine festival, is the pinnacle event of the fall season, bringing together thousands of wine lovers from across Lebanon to celebrate the largest and most exciting wine festival of the Middle East.
This year, Vinifest 2012, will be held with the partnership of SGBL, the collaboration of the UVL (Union des Viticulteurs Libanais), the Lebanese wine producers and the Spanish Embassy (Vinifest’s Guest of Honor) at the Hippodrome of Beirut. The theme of this year’s festival is Food and Wine Pairing, and the Association Des Sommeliers d’Europe will lead the wine school. Vinifest will host tasting events, dinners as well as guest chefs.
The event will include:
-Live cooking demonstrations:
Vinifest is inviting five well known chefs who will teach the visitors food and wine pairing through live cooking shows.
-Wine-School:
This year, Vinifest is inaugurating a Wine School,” Vinecole”, where wine lovers will learn valuable wine tasting techniques. Vinecole will be lead by the ASE (Association Des Sommeliers d’Europe).
-Photography competition:
Nikon is organizing a photo contest for professionals and amateurs of photography.
