Having access to an airport lounge can mean the difference between sitting uncomfortably at the gate and spending your pre-boarding time getting a delicious snack in comfy chairs. And considering that you’ll often spend a ton of money at airport cafes and bars (looking at you, Cafematik), we think it’s worth shelling out a little extra cash to hang out in Beirut’s Cedar Lounge.
Beirut’s Cedar Lounge is far from perfect, but they are in the process of renovating. Inside the lounge, you can enjoy showers, WiFi, televisions, a gaming area, a cafeteria, bar, couches, and more.
Here are a few ways to gain access to the MEA Cedar Lounge:
1. Having the priority pass card ($99/year). This gives you access to 1,000+ lounges worldwide. You can sign up for a priority pass card
here.
2. Having the Cedar Miles membership (silver, gold, or platinum). Silver and gold cardholders are allowed to bring in one guest, while platinum cardholders can bring in two guests.
3. Having a first or business class ticket. Booking an upgraded ticket means automatic access to the Cedar Lounge.
4. Having a credit card that offers lounge access. The credit cards accepted at the Cedar Lounge are: the American Express card (issued from an Arab country), Bank Audi’s Platinum, Corporate, or Ultimate credit cards (access is granted to cardholder travelling on MEA flights only, or Bankmed’s Medmiles card.
