8 Lebanese Horror Stories That Happen On The Daily

We can all agree that living in this country can sometimes be a horror story on its own. On top of that, there are some day-to-day horror stories that we all face at some point; here is a list of some of just that:

1- Watching YouTube videos for an hour before you realize you’ve been on 3G the entire time

I knew the speed was too good to be WiFi. Enjoy the extra $500, Alfa.

2- 2 missed calls from Mom

I don’t care how old you are, don’t pretend that this message on your screen doesn’t make you wet your pants. You better come up with a worthy excuse as you dial back.

3- “L ghada mjaddara”

BUT WHYYY. Imagine getting home after a long day of work/studying and fantasizing about lunch only to find out that there’s mjaddara. The horror.

4- 73 images received from “Family” Group

Flowery “Saba7 el kheir” pictures for daaaays; food pictures of every single meal your aunt or uncle eats, and so many Facebook videos. Good luck deleting all those from your gallery if you do not have auto-save off!

5- “Ma fi mayy sekhne”

Getting home from an afternoon run or a day at the gym and finding out that your siblings consumed all the hot water. Now you have to sit and wait as you stink up your room and the house. This is probably more of a horror story to your family, am I right?

Your Family at Dinner be like ^

6. “Hadde 7ki khaltak”

You know you’re dead if you say no so now you have to force a conversation about anything as your mother is mouthing things for you to say and ask about.

S2aliye 3a 3ammo Andre eza sar ahsan!

7. Driving from Beirut to Jounieh at 5:00 pm on a Friday

That sent a shiver down your spine, didn’t it? I think therapy for PTSD is warranted after such a trip.

8. “l taree2 l ba7riyye msakra”

But.. whaa… what do you mean? I can’t take the seaside road to avoid highway traffic like everyone else ends up doing and ultimately ending up in even worse traffic??
