Tripoli’s Christmas Tree Burned Down, Four In Custody
Tripoli awoke to a sad sight this morning of it’s Christmas tree having been set on fire in the middle of the night. Four suspects were taken into custody for questioning.
The Christmas tree was set up at the roundabout near Al-Nini Hospital and was symbolic of Tripoli’s dedication to coexistence.
Individuals also ransacked the office of Sheikh Malik Al Shaar who is the city’s mufti, but it is unknown whether the same people committed both infractions.
Luckily, the tree has been replaced by activists who are saying, it’s even more beautiful than before.
