After a long wait, one of Beirut’s most cherished public spaces is finally back. With many of the city’s parks either closed or neglected, residents have had few safe and well-kept places to enjoy.
Now, thanks to the efforts of UNOPS, the German Embassy, the Beirut Council, and the Municipality of Beirut, Sioufi Garden has been fully restored and is ready to welcome visitors once again.

The park now features restored pathways and terraces, neatly arranged trees and plants, and a dedicated skating area for visitors. Modern lighting and plenty of seating make it safe and comfortable, while a large playground, a fountain, and a pond with ducks add to the lively, family-friendly atmosphere.

Whether you’re looking to relax with a book, get some exercise, enjoy a stroll, or let the kids play freely, there’s a space here for everyone.
The project made every corner of the park practical, safe, and enjoyable, turning Sioufi Garden into a space where families, friends, and individuals of all ages can spend time outdoors and connect with nature.

Located in Achrafieh, Sioufi Garden spans roughly 20,000 square meters. Its name comes from the Sioufi district, which was historically home to furniture factories built in 1910. The factory owners would open the park to the public as a service to the community.

After the recent restorations, Sioufi Garden is now reflecting that same spirit. Children can play freely, teens can skate, and adults can relax or take a peaceful stroll.

Sioufi Garden has returned to the heart of Achrafieh as a vibrant green oasis. Restorations like these bring the community together and remind us how important public spaces are in Beirut.
