The holiday season in Lebanon is both magical and chaotic. We always celebrate it in true Lebanese fashion, which could be overwhelming sometimes. We definitely won’t be missing these 14 things once the holidays are over in Lebanon.
1. Needing 3 hours to get to Batroun just because we want to see a Christmas tree

2. Getting stuck in Beirut traffic because of all the Christmas markets
3. Trying to find a parking spot literally ANYWHERE
4. Spending so much money at holiday pop-ups (even though we lowkey don’t regret it)

5. Seeing 237627619 angles of every Christmas tree that was lit up in Lebanon

6. Doing chaotic last-minute shopping that we procrastinated BECAUSE OF THE TRAFFIC
7. Spending kel l ma3ash abel ma nezel

8. Eating our bodyweight in holiday treats, hot chocolate, and Bûche de Noël
9. Sitting through family dinners with that one Lebanese auntie who loves talking sh*t
10. Hearing “3a2bel fare7tik/ak” which is basically “3a2belik/ak” when it’s not wedding season

11. Watching all those AI-generated festive videos that every Lebanese business is posting
12. Having to take your diaspora friends to every. single. holiday event before they leave

13. Scrolling through endless videos of influencers visiting popular holiday spots and calling them hidden gems

14. Mentally preparing for all the arguments that are going to happen with your family over Christmas dinner
