Lebanese Journalist Transforms an Ambulance into a Mobile Pharmacy for Displaced People

The Lebanese journalist and activist from Saida Ritaj Zaknoun continues to prove day after day that humanitarian work is not just a duty, but a true calling that comes from the heart. Today, she is transforming an ambulance into a mobile pharmacy and mini clinic in order to help those displaced by the war on Lebanon.

Since the very first days of the war, Ritaj and her team of volunteers have been able to provide essential aid, meals, medication, baby formula, diapers, mattresses, tents, and other basic necessities to the forcibly displaced. All of this has been made possible thanks to solidarity and donations from people who still believe in doing good and supporting others.

Today, she continues her work through the “Mobile Pharmacy” initiative, in collaboration with the Morjan Foundation and Insan Al-Ghad Association. The initiative uses an ambulance to deliver medicine and medical care to displaced families on the roads, especially during this critical time when ambulances and medical teams are under threat. This step is not only humanitarian, but also a powerful act of courage and determination.

Speaking about the initiative, Ritaj says:
“In places where people can’t reach a pharmacy, we thought of bringing the pharmacy to them. We may not be able to stop the war, but we can ease its pain… Each of us can be a remedy for someone else.”

This initiative has become a lifeline for many who lack access to medicine and healthcare, sending a strong message that solidarity is still alive. You can support such efforts by contacting Ritaj at: 03 066 538, and give her a follow here here.
