Matcha Gentrification Has Officially Reached This Chicken Wing Spot in Lebanon
We thought the matcha hype would have died down by now, but it’s in our lattes, teas, desserts…and now our chicken wings.
Known for experimenting with wing flavors, Jay’s House in Jbeil decided that lattes weren’t enough and dropped chicken wings fully tossed in matcha. And yes, they’re green.
The wings come coated in a vivid matcha mix that sits somewhere between savory and slightly sweet, depending on your tolerance for anything green that isn’t pesto.
We’re not sure if the matcha girlies are going to love the earthy matcha tones in their wings, but if you decide to try them, we definitely want a full review.
Apart from the Grinch-green bites, they also dropped hot pink chicken wings. Not gonna lie though, the hot pink looks pretty cute when plated. Taste-wise, reviews posted to their Instagram claim that it’s on the sweeter side, though no one could guess what exactly the flavor was.
