In the heart of Majdel El Aqoura, you’ll be surprised to find a mini Eiffel Tower standing among the mountains of Lebanon. It’s certainly not what you expect to stumble upon while exploring Majdel El Aqoura. Surrounded by Lebanon’s natural landscapes, it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb (and that’s not necessarily a bad thing).
We imagine ourselves trying to get out of plans by telling people we’re vacationing in Paris. Sounds like a solid excuse.
The hiking trail leading to this 10-meter-high structure takes you through some of the region’s most stunning villages. That includes Afqa, Majdel El Aqoura, and Yanouh. You can easily make a full day of exploring the area, with stops at natural caves and jaw-dropping waterfalls.
