This October: Beyrouth Livres 2026 Brings 40+ Authors and Artists to Beirut

If you love books, meeting authors, or simply spending an afternoon browsing through a book fair, there’s plenty to look forward to this October.

The Institut français du Liban and the Institut français du Proche-Orient are bringing back Beyrouth Livres for its fourth edition, with this year’s festival centered around the Mediterranean. From October 9 to 18, more than 40 authors, writers, and artists from nine countries will come together for 10 days of literary and cultural events across Lebanon.

What to Expect

The festival will bring together a mix of book-related events and creative programs, including author meetings, book signings, readings, musical readings, workshops, and more.

They’ll also host activities specifically designed for younger audiences, giving families and young readers a chance to get involved. The full program will also take the festival beyond the main book fair, with evening events at cultural venues around Beirut.

Beyrouth Livres will also bring events to Jounieh, Deir El Qamar, Saida, Tripoli, and Zahlé, giving readers outside Beirut a chance to participate.

The Details

The main festival activities will take place at the Beirut Arab International Book Fair at Seaside Arena, where the Institut français du Liban will also have a stand throughout the fair.

Events will also take place at cultural venues across Beirut in the evenings, alongside programming in the participating cities and regions. Beyrouth Livres 2026 runs from October 9 to 18, with activities scheduled between 10 AM and 9 PM.
