Here Is One Of Beirut’s Best Cookies

The only cookies I’ve ever really enjoyed were the ones made at home, entirely from scratch. They taste like they’re supposed to; soft and gooey with chocolate chips that melt in your mouth.

Well, we’ve found the ultimate new spot to indulge in that perfectly soft and moist chocolate chip cookie right here in Beirut!

Enter “SmushKies”: the newest and probably the only cookie parlour in Beirut, located in Mar Mikhael.

They have cookies (obviously) – choose from the wide variety of flavours from the classic chocolate chip to the vamped up red velvet. Expectations? Cookie heaven. Take some to-go!

Speciality Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches i.e. “SmushKies” – A “SmushKie” is two cookies (choose from traditional chocolate chip, Nutella, peanut butter, red velvet…) “smushing” a scoop of creamy ice cream (choose from vanilla, chocolate, cheesecake…), and then covered in 2 toppings (choose from chocolate chips, crushed Oreos, chocolate syrup…). It looks and sounds heavy, BUT it’s delicious – we recommend sharing this one!

Cookie cakes are also available by the slice at SmushKies – no need to order an entire cake to enjoy this one!

There’s more! Have you ever had a skillet cookie?

What about a cookie shot? It was initially “invented” by the famous Dominique Ansel (who also invented the “Cronut” by the way! No need to go to New York, because now you can get a cookie shot right here in Beirut!

So you probably got a sugar rush just looking at these pictures. Seriously though, if you’re in Mar Mikhael (and even if you’re not), you should definitely check out this cute cookie parlour and grab a cookie, share a famous SmushKie, and get your picture taken for their cookie lover wall of fame!
