Young Man Killed During Fight For Fuel In Akkar

Horrifying news this Monday morning as we report the death of a young man who was shot and killed at one of Akkar’s gas stations last night due to a fight over fuel lines.

As insane lines were forming outside a gas station in the Bebnine area, fights broke out and weapons were fired resulting in the killing of a young man.

The victim was later identified as Ghaith Al-Masry, the gas station owner’s son. Ghaith is yet another victim of Lebanon’s exacerbating economical and social crisis. Just last month, a shooting at a food drive in Tripoli, resulted in the death of Karim Muheiddine.

It is frightening to see where Lebanon now stands as deaths over the lack of fuel, food, and other basic necessities have become the new normal.
