Ensemble Mayal with Turkish Musician Nicolas Royer Artuso

Ensemble Mayal will be collaborating with Turkish Oudist and violinist Nicolas Royer-Artuso.

To kick off the event, the opening will be dedicated to personal compositions and improvisations of Artuso on Oud.
In the second part Ensemble Mayal will be presenting out of its Classical Arabic repertoire, two Waslat ; first in maqam Bayati and second in maqam Hijazkar .
An interesting collaboration of Artuso on violin will take place in this second set, where Ottoman music meets classical Arabic music, giving its remembrance to the Ottoman influence.
