What’s an empty jar? The sad remains of a sauce, a preserve or a sweet creamy delight. A cylindrical silicate transparent shape that will join its siblings in a dump, or at best be recycled to produce another little container that will start the story again…

Alexandra Warde, a young interior designer, has chosen to express her picturesque, bubbling imagination by using them as a support, and to give them a second, longer life. Using collage and mixed media, she covers them with colorful compositions, some pious, other tragic, or even kitsch.

They can be used as photos with a candle in them, or as treasure containers, but their beauty and the stories that they each carry will completely unfold when lit from the inside.
