Nazem El Khoury

Born in the year 1946, he received his bachelor degree from the American University of Beirut in the year 1969. In 1970, he received a diploma in the study of insurance from the Charted Insurance Institute in London.

He speaks Arabic, English and French fluently.

1977 – 2003: Member of the Board of Trustees at the Lebanese American University

Member of the Board of Trustees at Notre Dame University

Deputy Chairman of YMCA – Lebanon

2009: Appointed political advisor to President Michel Suleiman.

June 2011: Appointed Minister of Environment under Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
