UN Open Day on Women, Peace and Security

The UNRCO is holding a photography competition in the Southern city of Tyre. During the ceremony, women representatives from the districts of Bint Jbeil, Tyre, and Marjayoun will present what “safety” means to them, what constraints they face, and what their recommendations are in this aspect. These were previously and collectively prepared and discussed among women from each district during roundtables held for this purpose.

Winners from the photo competition from each district will receive prizes during the ceremony. The competition involved young women and girls capturing “safety through their eyes”.
