Levantine Christmas Oratorio Live at Saint Elias Greek Catholic Cathedral

As part of the Beirut Chants festival, a performance by the Levanine Christmas Oratorio will be taking place at the Saint Elias Greek Catholic Church. They will be performing cantillation and modal monodical chants of mašriqian type taken from the New Testament, the musical traditions of Maronite, Orthodox and Latin Churches, a meditation of Archbishop Georges Khodr and a Sufi poem of Ibn ‘Arabī performed by the Arabic Classical Music Ensemble of the Antonine University.
