The Danish Youth Cinema on the Road – Lebanon 2013

The Danish Youth Cinema on the Road is back again to roam the Lebanese regions. In 2012, this event was organized for the first time in Lebanon and was attended by more than 2000 children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18. It had then proved its success to establish a framework for discussion and expression with the kids.

This event aims to introduce Danish culture to Lebanese children and youth through screenings and discussions with the audience. The movies revolve around social and educational topics which are of relevance to children and youth and are directly related to their daily lives, problems and aspirations.

During the 2012 event, this activity, which was held in seven different Lebanese regions, gave the opportunity to young people from all nationalities to participate in the screenings and to share their ideas with their peers, not only during the discussions following the screenings but also later on in the framework of their educational institutions.
