Oak Live at Samir Kassir Square

As part of the Fete De La Musique 2013, singer Oak will be performing live at the Samir Kassir Square. Allen Seif – a songwriter-guitarist-singer better known as Oak – is home again in Beirut, the place of his roots.

Sonic-monk, travelling troubadour, Oak has been performing solo and with other musicians since the 90’s in Beirut, Paris, Sydney and Wellington, New Zealand.

His music – with soaring vocals, and chilled-out acoustic and raw electric guitars is in the vein of British Pop-Rock – with a folky breeze blowing through. With lyrics, in turn playful and edgy, Oak explores truth, longing, identity, war, love and beauty. His album ‘On the Borderline (Between the Heart and the Mind)’ was released in Sydney.
