Build Night – Little Free Libraries Edition at Lamba Labs

Thursday, Jun 6, 2013
7:00pm -> 9:00pm
Lamba Labs

Join Lamba Labs as it hosts a special edition of its weekly Build Night. This time, you’ll be building Little Free Libraries. Little Free Libraries (LFLs) are little boxes that can be located where people walk by and would pick up a book to read, or bring a book they don’t want anymore for someone else to pick up.

The purpose of LFLs is to: promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide, and build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity, and wisdom across generations

There are actually over 5000 Little Free Libraries worldwide and the first registered LFL in the whole Arab region was installed in Tripoli on April 28, 2013.

If you’re interested, then you’re in luck. Patricia Nabti, who’s leading the LFL initiative here in Lebanon, has 11 more free LFL registrations that haven’t been used yet.

So join them to have some creative, adventurous folks help out and build some LFLs at Lamba Labs and/or become stewards of a Little Free Library in your village, or neighborhood.
