Net2Beirut, the first ever local NetSquared group in Lebanon, is back for round two. And this time, they’re teaming up with Search for Common Ground (SFCG) to introduce The Rise of the Phoenix, a video game with social impact.

Head to AltCity and mingle with some like-minded people before the event kicks off. The event starts with a quick introduction to Net2Beirut and SFCG. Emily Jacquard, SFCG’s Country Director in Lebanon, and some of their game dev/design team will share the story of Rise of the Phoenix, the “video game for peace,” before diving into how it’s intended to empower youth in the country to overcome the sectarian mindset and collaborate with others.

Whether you’d like to learn more about Net2Beirut, SFCG, or Rise of the Phoenix, stick around for a totally informal Q&A session. If you’re intrigued by the game, then help SFCG promote it!

If that’s not your scene, then chill at the Mezzanine cafe and hang out afterwards. This innovative new game sounds like a must-see!
