Night Hike in Mayfouk with Dale Corazon

Join Dale Corazon as it goes on an exciting night hike in the village of Mayfouk. Your evening will start with a visit to Deir Saidet Mayfouk, where you will see the oldest Maronite icon in Lebanon, and Saint Charbel’s cave. After that, the bus will take you to the top of the village to Osbeh, where you will start your hike.

You will walk an easy moonlit path and pass by Deir Mar Geryes, a beautiful place where you will see a “tannour” made from clay. The view is fantastic, and Batroun and Jbeil are easily observed. The path will then lead us to a very old abandoned church, that of Mar Saba. There you will be served manakich for dinner, baked on saj and roasted potatoes cooked by local villagers with hot tea.

Participation fee: 30,000 LL including transport, insurance and guides
