Hiking to Mtein with Vamos Todos

This hiking trip through Mtein offers the opportunity to discover all its remarkable landmarks and historical sights.

Rock-out tombs from the Roman-Byzantine era indicate that Mtein’s origins probably go back to at least the Roman period. Today however, the village is notable for its feudal architecture. The Abillamaa Emirs who moved there at the start of the 16th Century left behind many of their grand buildings, which can be seen in the town’s main square or midan.
