Registration for Creative Writing Workshop – Voices and Perspectives at The Creative Space

This is an eight week workshop, meeting Monday evenings, to help participants discover their personal voices as writers and develop this skill further in response to their environments.The workshop will focus on writing and reading creative autobiographies, studying how they intersect with politics, poetry and fiction (and in some cases visual art and video). In this workshop, participants will write both independently and as a group, taking inspiration from the city and meeting with guest speakers to discuss publishing their work.

Liane Al-Ghusain graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelors and Masters in English Literature with an emphasis in creative writing. She completed a year of post-graduate work at Ashkal Alwan’s Home Workspace Program and has written for publications such as Nafas Art Magazine, Portal 9 Journal, and Harper’s Bazaar Middle East.

Cost: $100 for 8 sessions (space is limited)
