The two teens responsible for filming and forcing a
cat to be microwaved have willingly handed the animal, named Bousbous, over to the NGO, Animals Lebanon.
(Photo via Facebook) The news was announced in a
Facebook post by comedian Nemr Abou Nassar, who has taken an active role in the story since the video, posted by Hassan Hammoud and Mohammad Jallad went viral on Friday.
On Monday, the two boys issued
video apologies on a Facebook page created to shame their actions. There are currently no laws against animal abuse in Lebanon.
Post-edit: On Wednesday, Nemr Abou Nassar released a video which shows the cat safe and sound at Animals Lebanon, Hammoud and Jallad explaining themselves to Animals Lebanon President Lana El Khalil, and a message from Abou Nassar himself concerning his involvement with this case and encouraging others to take action against animal abuse.
