Join Beirut Art Center as it hosts Kyungso Park’s solo series entitled, The Fragments And Their Undercurrents.

This is her ongoing improvised solo project about the small fragments and the progressions which consist of our lives and surroundings. Based on Korean traditional aesthetics and with the gayageum’s pure natural and voice-like sound, Park re-questions widely used musical gestures with contemporary thoughts and structures.

Gayageum is a traditional Korean zither dating back to the 3rd Century. The silk strings give a pure natural and almost voice-like sound reflecting the Confucian ideals of the sound of the cosmos.
