Ahead of the New Academic Year: This New Lebanese Platform Connects Students With Tutors

Finding a good tutor can be harder than the actual homework sometimes. You have to find someone who knows the subject, fits your schedule, and actually explains things in a way that makes sense.

The new Lebanese platform Grade Up connects students with high school and university students who can tutor them in subjects they know well. It’s also giving older students a chance to turn their knowledge into an income stream while building real tutoring experience.

With the new academic year just around the corner, Grade Up has officially launched for 2026–2027!

How Grade Up works

The idea is pretty simple. Students can head to Grade Up and search for tutors based on their subject, location, grade, or name. They can then choose a tutor who matches their academic needs and arrange a session. The platform offers both online and in-person tutoring, giving students some flexibility in how they learn.

Grade Up focuses on peer tutoring, which can make certain subjects feel a little less intimidating. Instead of sitting across from someone who feels far removed from school life, younger students can learn from someone who has recently been in their shoes.

The platform also says it carefully selects its tutors and focuses on simple explanations and real understanding rather than simply getting through a lesson.

What if you’re a student who wants to tutor?

Grade Up isn’t only for students looking for help. High school and university students can also apply to become tutors, turning their academic knowledge into a potential source of income while gaining experience and leadership skills.

The application asks prospective tutors to share their school or university, the subjects they can teach, their availability, preferred tutoring format, and the area where they can offer in-person sessions. Grade Up says it will contact selected applicants after reviewing their applications.

That makes the platform a two-way opportunity: younger students can find academic support, while older students can put their knowledge to work.

Just in time for the new academic year

The timing feels pretty fitting. With the 2026–2027 school year approaching, Grade Up is preparing to officially launch and expand its pool of student tutors. For now, students can already head to the platform to browse available tutors, while students interested in tutoring can submit their applications online.
