Nahr El Jawz, located in North of Lebanon, is one of the most beautiful Lebanese trails; it was listed as a National and Historic Heritage Site in 1998.

The river serves the water mills, irrigated fields, power generators, cafes and restaurants and a part of the water is pumped for domestic use in Batroun and the region. But you will be charmed above all by the various types of trees along the river banks, especially the walnut trees that grow in close proximity to the water.

Cost:
30,000 LL per person including transport, guides, insurance and snowshoes.
Special price of 25,000 LL for children under 18 years of age or group of 5 persons.

What to bring:
Light snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits. Pack your backpacks with lunch, water, a cap, sunglasses and sunscreen. Don’t forget to bring a jacket. Wear comfortable walking shoes, preferably hiking shoes (Professional brand is recommended).
