In 2012, Lee received a Creative Australia Fellowship from the Australia Council for the Arts. Over the following two years he has been creating a solo dance work to be presented in 2014. During his time in Beirut he will continue developing this choreography and hold an informal studio showing of the work in progress.
About the Artist Lee completed a Bachelor of Dance at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2003. In 2004 he began work with Chunky Move (Gideon Obarzanek) and Lucy Guerin Inc. In 2010 Lee was selected by the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Initiative, to undertake a mentorship with American choreographer Trisha Brown in New York City, performing, touring and developing new work. Lee has choreographed; P.O.V. for the Rolex Arts Weekend; Sync, commissioned by the Lyon Opera Ballet (France), and numerous short dance works. He is currently in creation with VCA, and Sydney Dance Company.
