Al Naqab Education Program Fundraiser

Al Naqab Center for Youth Activities warmly invites you to a fundraiser evening of food and music.

In July 2013, following a needs assessment conducted in the Syrian refugee population of Beirut’s Burj el Barajneh Camp, two local independent youth associations, Ma’an and the Palestinian Youth Movement, decided to found Al Naqab Center.

There are currently around 300 Syrian families seeking refuge in Burj el Barajneh camp and there exists little to no access to education for refugee children. Al Naqab Center provides an accelerated learning program for Syrian and Palestinian children who are unable to enroll in schools.

They’ve been teaching more than 60 kids Arabic, Math, and English for a year. As independent volunteer activists, they rely upon the generous support and contributions of the communities.
