About the Writer
Born in Hai Phong, North Vietnam in 1955, Do Khiem grew up after the partition in Saigon, in the south, where he served in the Army during the last year of the war in 1974-75. A writer and poet of the Vietnamese language, Do Kh. actively participated in the Vietnamese literary movement of exile and the ‘reconciliation’ with the journal “Hop Luu” in California. Co-founder and Chief Editor of “Tap Chi Tho,” the first Vietnamese journal devoted to poetry, his poems and short stories have been translated into English, French, German and Serbo-Croatian.

In 2013, the first novel written in French by Do Kh, “Khmer Bolero,” was published by Riveneuve, followed by “Saturday Saigon” in 2014. His third novel in French, “Praxis Dr. Yov” is scheduled for release in 2015.
