‘El Manzano Azul’ Screening at the Fifth Ibero-American Cinema Festival

The Embassy of Spain in Lebanon and the Cervantes Institute in collaboration with the Metropolis Association and the Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela and the consulates of El Salvador, Portugal and Peru, are pleased to present the 5th edition of the Ibero-American Film Festival dubbed, “Otras Miradas – Other Views.”

This new edition will be held at the cinema Metropolis Empire Sofil between October 30 and November 8 with a broad selection of 13 feature films currently expressed by the cultural identities of the Ibero-American World.

About the Movie
Diego, an 11-year-old city boy, has to spend his summer in the countryside of the Venezuelan Andes with his grandfather who he hardly knows. With no high-tech gadgets and being bullied by the country kids, he is miserable and bored. One day, he discovers an odd blue apple tree and meets a young girl in which he takes a strong liking to. Through a series of misadventures, Diego grows closer to his grandfather and bonds with the caring village people that he once disliked. Diego learns to live life differently and has an amazing experience that will stay with him for the rest of his life.

All films are in their original language with English subtitles, except for “Che Pykasumi,” which is in Guarani with Spanish subtitles.
