Retroclash Presents Nick Hoppner, Tama Sumo and Technophile

Retroclash is back at Art Lounge and they have been scouring the worlds best and the most respected of clubs to bring to you a selection of the DJs.

Nick Hoppner
Currently residing in his home of choice and calling, Berlin, Nick Hoppner skillfully balances, explores and contributes to a dramatically wide range of musical professions, proving him to be one of the backbones of today’s house and techno underground.

Tama Sumo
Since 2001 Tama Sumo has played regularly at the “Dance With The Aliens“ at the old OstGut, the predecessor of Berghain, which eventually opened the door to a residency at the new Panoramabar & Berghain. In the meantime she developed a varied style ranging from House in all its colours, combined with reduced Techno, old Electro, Disco and Pop. Altogether her sets feature a lot of bass, sometimes melody, always deep, sexy, dirty, jacking, rough and funky.

Technophile
While Technophile – AKA Nabih Esta, one half of dynamic Beirut duo Ronin & Nesta – lives up to his tech-loving name, his roots lie in the twisted, melodic haze of psychedelic and progressive rock bands. With Pink Floyd, Eloy & Porcupine Tree at the forefront of his collection, and with a family of drummers spurring him on, Nabih fell head over heels into the club scene in his teens, discovering Global Underground at 13, and defining DJs like Anthony Pappa, Danny Tenaglia, Lee Burridge and James Lavelle.
