A Conversation between Mirna Bamieh and Rachel Dedman

As part of the Exposure program curated by the participating artists, this evening will present a conversation between artist Mirna Bamieh and curator Rachel Dedman. The discussion will tackle Bamieh’s different reflections on memory throughout her work. The discussion will include a screening of video works by Mirna Bamieh between 2012 and 2014. The films to screened are: Interrupted Biographies (2014), Story of I and Other Suggestive Landscapes (2013) and This Mined Land of Ours (2012). The discussion will also shed light on different approaches of Palestinian artists toward notions of memory, belonging and nostalgia.
