The current regional wars put Lebanese, Syrians and Palestinians (among others) in a position to support refugees, host communities, and anyone affected. However, these local aid workers often deal with their own personal war traumas and prejudices carried from previous or current regional conflicts.
This art therapy workshop targets aid workers (engaged in social work, psychosocial support, crisis intervention, etc.) supporting the refugees. It aims to bring attention to one’s personal experiences and values, and how that plays a role during interactions with others in an emotionally demanding job.
