‘KARASI’ at Beirut Design Week 2015

Beirut Design Week is held annually in June across Beirut city, featuring exhibitions, conferences, workshops and open studios showcasing the work of local and international designers operating within Lebanon. The event focuses on creative economies, intercultural exchange, design education and design entrepreneurship.

In 2014, AIGA, the professional association for design, celebrated it’s 100th year. As the first international chapter, AIGA Middle East is continuing the festivities through 2015 by hosting a unique exhibit during Beirut Design Week 2015 titled “KARASI: Bringing Design to the Table”.

AIGA invited 20 designers and multidisciplinary studios to take part in designing 20 chairs donated by BDesign. The aim is to expose the up-and-coming design community in Lebanon and give people the chance to appreciate the work of the design talent in Lebanon.
