Swiss Konnexion Projekt feat. Damien Barras

Swiss Konnexion Projekt features DJs and artists from Switzerland in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in Beirut.

For Yukunkun’s third edition of the season they will be hosting Damien Barras part of the underground swiss collective “Traffic” for an all night set of House and Classic Underground Disco. He’s freshly back from Japan and will be blessing our decks with some heavy rare tunes. Strictly Vinyl set of course.

About Damien
Through his international record digging experience, Damien’s goal as a DJ is to open new doors of perception, exposing the audience with new, and lost sounds of the past. His style is best described as a blend of house, and classic underground disco. He especially enjoys playing long sets that stretch over 6 hours, bringing dancers on a trip to new uncharted territories.

After having experienced the scenes of Montreal, and Berlin, Damien returned to Switzerland where he is now involved with Traffic, a collective organizing underground events across the country, as a resident dj. He also collaborates with his brother with whom he performs under the alias The Barras Brothers. Together they are currently producing the documentary Diggin’Thru Japan that showcases the two brothers exploring contemporary subcultures of Japan through the exploration of various musical scenes and record stores.
