Lebanese writer, editor, blogger and music lover Shirine Saad is in town from her adopted home of Brooklyn and will host a Sunday Souldown this weekend with her selection of sweet soul, groovy funk and jazz.
You might know her as the author of the hip Beirut guide, sold worldwide: BOHO BEIRUT: A Guide to the Middle East’s Most Sophisticated City, which features the movers and shakers of Beirut brick city – from musicians and DJs to the best places to eat in town. She’s also a renowned journo who’s written for everyone from Wallpaper guides to The New York Times, MTV, Nowness, Jalouse and Elle, on everything from avant-garde music and cinema to conceptual art and ecological architecture.
