Arabic Scenario: Creative Track Program

From Mar 3 to Apr 7, 2016
2:00pm -> 9:00pm
FADE IN:

The Lebanese movie and TV industry is looking for good scripts with believable characters, interesting plots and dialogue that is true to life – now, more than ever. You don’t need to be in the cinema field in order to write your idea, you just need a small push and a bit of guidance, and FADE IN: are here to give it to you.

If you have an idea for a script and no idea how to write it.
Or, if you have written scripts in the past, but feel like there’s something missing.

In this six-week course, students are introduced to the art of screenwriting and effective storytelling for movies. By the end of the 6-weeks, they will be well-versed in how to generate ideas, fight the myth of writer’s block, format a script, create believable characters and write realistically witty dialogue. In an effort to raise the standard of Lebanese and Arab drama writing, this course will analyze work throughout the region and beyond.

With screenwriter, Jad el Khoury, the class will be taught in Arabic . Writing is in Arabic, classical, Lebanese, or any other Arab region using Latin or Arabic letters.
