After the adoption of the historic climate change agreement in Paris in December 2015, what changes will climate governance witness? What does the agreement mean to Lebanon and the region? What will the responsibilities and opportunities be for countries of the region? And what will be the agreement’s implications on the economy of Lebanon and the region?

Panelists:
Mary Awad is a member of the UNDP climate change team at the Ministry of Environment. She is also a member of the Lebanese delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Carol Chouchani Cherfane, Chief, Water Resources Section, Sustainable Development Policies Division, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Beirut, Lebanon.

Ernie Niemi is the president of Natural Resource Economics, Inc. which he established in 2012 and the author of the new study on the Economic Costs to Lebanon from Climate Change.

Joseph Al Assad is an Energy consultant at the Ministry of Energy and Water in Lebanon, a team leader at the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation, and teaches at NDU and USEK.
