Getting lost in the woods, breathing in the fresh air, warming up by the campfire, enjoying the calmness we don't normally get in our busy lives. That is what camping is all about.

Here is a list of beautiful camping spots in Lebanon for whenever you want to call in sick, turn off your phone, and go camping with a bunch of friends.


1. Chouwen



Chouwen is located near the village of Qartaba in the Jbeil district. To find a good isolated spot you have to hike quite a while, but after that long hike you will reach paradise, hence the name "Janet Chouwen". A clean river surrounded by majestic nature and a beautiful forest filled with oak trees, Chouwen will make you feel like you are out of this world. Make sure you store food properly and pack your swimsuits with you!  


2. Broumana



Broumana is located east of Beirut and overlooks the city and the Mediterranean. It is the perfect place for when you want to squeeze in a quick getaway and enjoy a great place with no cars, no building, and no humans. You will be surrounded by green mountains and a pine forests, so pitch your tent, build your campfire, and enjoy your time!   


3. Dhour El Choueir



Dhour El Choueir is located in Metn and also overlooks the city and the Mediterranean. This magical place truly does have a breathtaking view and the seclusion you could be seeking.


4. Ehden



Ehden is a city that will instantly win you over with its stunning beauty. You can discover a spectacular variety of trees and flowers in its unique forest. Healthy air, fresh water, lots of laughter, and extreme adventure awaits!


5. Yahchouch



Yahchouch is located in the Kesserwan district of Mount Lebanon, and is one of nicest spots for camping. You can build your tent and relax right next to river or enjoy a refreshing and cold swim under the waterfall.


6. Bcharre



This is the perfect place for an outdoor love affair, and the fact that it is the birthplace of our favorite poet Khalil Gibran just makes it that much better. It is home to Lebanon's few remaining and preserved Cedars.
