This weekend’s Vietnamese dinner at Makan features new dishes, including roasted chicken in oyster sauce.

Oyster sauce, a staple of Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisine, is made by slowly simmering oysters in water until the juices caramelize into a thick, brown sauce. The ancient method has been refined over the years, but still delivers the same rich, savory, and decidedly not fishy punch in this weekend’s roasted chicken with lemongrass and honey. Served alongside noodles and curry, you will leave this Vietnamese event feeling full and fulfilled.
