Essaouiran Chef Hanan is back to Makan this week for her ever-popular Moroccan dinner.

Makan is pleased to welcome back Chef Hanan Ifedelli from Essaouira, Morocco. Chef Hanan’s Moroccan feast features a warming chickpea and lentil soup with celery, tomato, and vermicelli. The menu’s main event is a sweet and savory beef tagine, with prunes and apricots, served in clay pots in the style of Marrakech. Pass by this week for the only taste of Morocco in Beirut.

Mashed eggplant with tomato and garlic dip
– Salad dyal tamr
Moroccan carrot salad with dates
– Tagine dyal lahm
Sweet and savory beef tagine with prunes and apricot, seasoned with saffron and cinnamon
– Ksuksi khodar
Couscous with seven vegetables and caramelized onions
– Jawhara Moroccan mille-feuille
Crunchy filo pastry with creme patissière scented with orange blossom water
