The Banana Cognacs is a funk n’ blues band from Beirut with a trigger-sensitive sound laid out against off-beat drum formations, spliced with electronic additives, alternative folky chord progression seasonings - and served with a twist of lemon. With no real parameters defining their sound, Banana Cognac is guaranteed to satiate the ears with music of other-worldy flavor. Banana Cognac is fronted by hip hopping extraordinaire Double A the Preacherman on vocals, with Goo from Fareeq al Atrash on rhythm guitar, keys and backing vocals, as well as Johnny Seikally on soul grinding bass lines and Raja Ghraizi on supercharged lead guitar and vocals.
