The Banana Cognacs is a debuting funk n blues band from Beirut with a trigger-sensitive sound that is laid out against offbeat drum formations spliced with electronic additives and alternative folky chord progression seasonings, and just a twist of lemon. With no real parameters defining their sound, Banana Cognac is guaranteed to satiate the ear with music of an other-worldy flavor. Banana Cognac is fronted by hip hopping extraordinaire Double A the Preacherman on vox, with Goo from Fareeq al Atrash on rhythm guitar, keys and backing vocals, as well as Johnny Seikally on soul grinding bass lines and Raja Ghraizi on supercharged lead guitar and vocals as well.
