بكتير من أعراس الأرثوذكس الإثيوبيين، في تقليد إنه العروس والعريس يلبسوا لبس ملكي، بيرمز إنه بهاليوم هني ملك وملكة. الرداء الأحمر والتاجات عادة بتكون موجودة بحفلات العرس بالأمهرة وتغراي، للتعبير عن الفخر بالإرث.
غناء وزغاريد كانت عم تتردد بالشوارع من قبل مجموعة نساء، ممكن جزء من الزفة التقليدية. ولما موكب العرس قرّب، أهل الحي بطرابلس وقفوا يتفرّجوا، يصوّروا، وحتى يشاركوا بالفرحة!
