Your Official Guide To This Year’s Ramadan Mousalsals

Ramadan is upon us, which also means that the best of the absolute best TV shows are near. So, to save you the hassle of scouring the internet and TV, stressfully deciding what to watch, we have compiled a list of most of the shows that will be on and on what channels.

Playing on MTV Lebanon:

1. La Ekher Nafas

Would it really be a Lebanese TV show without some sort of awkward love triangle, cheating and heartbreak? Can somebody point me in the direction of this sort of love? I can’t even get a text back.

2. Adham Bek

Featuring the oh so handsome Youssef el Khal, this passionate love story is one that dates back to the French revolution.

3. الهيبة (also on MBC)
Featuring Nadine Njeim, this exciting trailer is one of blood and love, and what seems to look like incredible production.

Playing on LBCi:

4. Bab el Hara 9

Back for its millionth series is Bab el Hara, your grandmother’s favourite show.

5. Wein Kenti

Last ramadan saw the first series of Wein Kenti, a story featuring all sorts of things you’ll find on Jerry Springer. Like a young girl marrying a grandpa, then falling in love with his son. Keeping it classy, love it.

6. Caramel

If the intensity of ramadan mousalsal’s just isn’t for you, try this lighthearted and fun show featuring Jessy Abdo and Maguy Abou Ghosn. You’ll either love it or hate it.

7. Ward Jouri

In this heart wrenching trailer, disaster strikes a peaceful family, leading to all sorts of drama.

8. عطر الشام

Another old school TV show, featuring all sorts of drama.

9. Tawq el Banat (also playing on Al Jadeed)

This is the 4th season of this exciting TV show.

Playing on MBC:

10. اليوم الأسود

Though not Lebanese, this TV show looks like one to keep an eye out for.

Playing on Al Jadeed:

11 – 16. Al Jadeed has done a very useful thing and compiled all the TV shows premiering this ramadan into one short clip with all their trailers. They are, in order, زوجتي أنا الجزء الثاني (featuring George Chalhoub), أول نظرة, بلحظة (featuring Cynthia Khalife and Ziad Burji), لست جارية and قناديل العشاق featuring Cyrine Abdel Nour.

Playing on Al Nahar TV

17. الحرباية – Al Herbaya

Though an Egyptian TV channel, we felt obliged to include this series featuring Haifa Wehbe, about her fictitious(?) scandalous life.
