General Security Arrests Man Who Put Nigerian Woman Up “For Sale” On Facebook

Finally! Something to help us regain hope in a just and humane legal system.

The General Directorate of Lebanese General Security announced earlier today that the local man responsible for putting up a Nigerian woman “for sale” on Facebook has been arrested and is currently under investigation.

The man was identified as “Wael Jerro”, who had posted in a Facebook group named ‘Buy and Sell in Lebanon” to advertise a migrant worker. His pathetic caption read: “a domestic worker from Nigeria for sale with new legal documents. She’s 30 years old, she’s very active and very clean, price: $1,000″.

Jerro had since deleted his post, but not before screenshots were shared on social media, causing much-deserved outrage.

Wael Jerro is currently in custody for “human trafficking”. Meanwhile, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons is working to locate and return Peace to her homeland.

If you know of any persons being trafficked, please send a tip to our page and we will try our best to shed light on the issue.
