A gruesome video has been making the rounds on social media, showing a man walking into what appears to be a market, reportedly at MEDCO station in Sed El Bauchrieh, arguing with the cashier briefly, then shooting her point blank and then himself. Photo of his military ID has been shared online, but this is yet to be verified. The whole incident was caught on security footage and is somehow being shared by local “media” who we would urge to review their media ethics.
Initial speculations identify the perpetrator as a Lebanese solider and the cashier as his girlfriend. This was deemed a “personal dispute”, as if that is an apt excuse to go around shooting and murdering people.
Needless to say, we will not be sharing the video on ANY platform, out of respect to the deceased’s families.
