Sun’s Out! Here Are 12 Cafes With Outdoor Seating In Beirut

We only have one thing to say about this weather: it’s about damn time.

The sun is out and we’re ready to pretend summer is already here, so we curated a list of our favorite Beirut cafes that have an outdoor seating just for you.

1. L’éscalier, Mar Mikhael

L’escalier’s outdoor chilling area is the best way to start your morning (especially if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed). Enjoy cup of coffee and a taste of their filling breakfast, and since this spot is pet-friendly, your furry friend can tag along as well.

2. Cyrano, Gemmayze

You can never go wrong with a delectable brunch at Cyrano. Boasting one of the best brunches in the city, Cyrano makes an impeccable scrambled egg tartine, made with avocado mousse and topped with chili flakes. It tastes better when you enjoy it under the trees in their small terrace.

3. The High Llama, Achrafieh

If the reason you visit this Achrafieh gem is to enjoy their yummy knefe bagel, now you’ll want to visit so that you can enjoy this sweet treat in their outdoor seating area where you can people-watch, enjoy some fresh air, and not worry about having to move indoors from the cold.

4. Sole Insight, Mar Mikhael

Located on the Vendome stairs, Sole Insight will let us summer lovers do what we love most: keep warm under the sun. This philo-art cafe will satisfy all your senses, whether it’s with a sip of herbal tea, a skim through the shelves of their small library, or a morning out on the stairs.

5. SuperVega, Badaro

SuperVega is all about seasonal soul food, freshly squeezed juice, and delicious coffee. Their outdoor seating area will let you enjoy your coffee with some sun, people, and a smile – and if that’s not enough, stick around for an afternoon drink. Have you tried their chili flower cocktail?

6. L’appartement, Achrafieh

It’s finally warm enough to chill out in their garden, and we couldn’t be happier. The garden at L’appartement is spacious, full of trees, decorated with fairy lights, and occasionally occupied by Beiruti cats. This spot will quickly become your go-to for when you’re in the mood for some fresh air…and equally refreshing drinks.

7. Café Younes, Hamra

Their iconic Hamra location is spacious, quaint, and just quiet enough to enjoy a sip of coffee and get some work done. You’re likely to meet fellow café go-ers and busy bees, so make sure to take advantage of the vibrant Cafe Younes crowd and make a few friends.

8. Salon Beyrouth, Gemmayze

If you’ve never had the pleasure of indulging in Salon Beyrouth’s filling brunch, it’s about time that you do. Their outdoor area will turn a casual meet up into a brunch tradition until we have to move back indoors (which we’re hoping won’t happen for a while).

9. La Ménagerie, Achrafieh & Clemenceau

La Ménagerie is the perfect change of scenery in the city, doubling as a flower shop and restaurant where you can be accompanied by the smell of fully bloomed amaryllis wherever you go.

10. Makan, Mar Mikhael

An amazing cultural space with an even more amazing garden terrace in the heart of Mar Mikhael. If you’re in the mood for a little solitude in the city, you can treat yourself to a quick lunch or experience rich world cuisines with your friends.

11. Dar El Wardieh, Gemmayze

A Gemmayze gem that will be your home away from home. Dar El Wardieh is a place to spend some alone time, get work done, or collect inspiration from the garden’s muted colors and thriving plants. This oasis will quickly become one of your favorite in the bustling city.

12. Café de Monaco, Minet El-Hosn

Café de Monaco is an ideal destination for an outing with your close friends. This stylish choice is ready to welcome you for an impeccably prepared meal with a smell of fresh air. Their menu is overflowing with all flavors your heart (and belly) desires.
